# How to Activate a Device?

## Please read the steps below for steps required to activate a Versatile device.

#### **Device Activation**

### **Pre-Go-Live Checklist**

1. **Charge Batteries**: Charge **for 24 hours** before installation.
2. **Connect Batteries**: to the device **at least 12 hours before going on hook.**
3. **Diagnostics Check**: **Notify Versatile Support after battery connection**. Provide the device ID (located on the Crosby load cell) and ensure the device is outside for a strong cellular signal.
4. **Confirmation:** Versatile Support will confirm once diagnostics are complete.

#### **Final Check & Go Live**

### **Day of Going Live:**

1. Notify Versatile Support.
2. Confirm **batteries are fully charged and properly installed.**
3. A **certified rigger** must install the device and rigging.
